Brian was born and raised in Waterton National Park. Living in the beauty of the Canadian Rockies was a natural part of his early life. He graduated from the Forest Technology School in Hinton in 1966. His career took him to northern Alberta for the next twenty years. Brian and Lois returned to Hinton in 1996 to operate their forestry consulting business.

Brian is now retired, but still loves going to the woods. Hinton and Jasper are Brian’s favourite places to photograph and he travels there often in search of wildlife, landscapes, and activities. Whenever possible Brian does volunteer work, plays music with friends and travels.

Brian is a big believer in shopping at home, and doing as much business as possible with friends and neighbours and urges everyone to do the same. Brian shoots with Nikon equipment and all of his printing and framing is done locally.
